The value of Twitter?

I have three Twitter accounts. A personal one where I post photos of the dog, talk about Poldark and other random stuff. My @WirralGov tends to relate to everything education and then I have a company Twitter account which is again education related about my work as an NLG. It can be hard work keeping each for different things and I have got in a muddle before now!

However the value of Twitter, in my view, is huge. I follow some 2,500 accounts. There are Headteachers, governors, clerks, school business managers etc. and many follow me back.

Reflections | JaneOwens

Mirror, mirror on the wall…..well not THAT sort of reflection!

We have started the summer break and I don’t know about you but I am shredding paperwork I no longer need and putting saved documents into folders. I have only 5 icons on my desktop which take me to my folders. I personally never understand how people cope with a multitude of icons over their screen. I would also be lost without dropbox on my Ipad!

Impact, impact, impact | JaneOwens

There was an interesting discussion on UKGovChat (@UKGovchat) last week about what difference we make as governors. It was called ‘Making a Difference‘.

The discussion was an interesting one as it is sometimes hard to have solid evidence of our impact. Indeed there has been a debate on Twitter lately about splitting a judgement on governance from that of  the Leadership and Management judgement one on an Ofsted report. There was a fair amount of debate on that suggestion! The inspection framework says :
